The Great Diaper Change

Our first day started off....sleepy to tell the truth.
Oh,but that's not what this is about!
Each of the boys started out in their 'new' dydees;how excited we all were to find out how they would work-would they contain the natural 'disasters' that stood behind that adorable soft-to-the-touch fabric..?

We soon found out!
Jeremiah is our heaviest wetter and within two hours he had leaked a bit.
That's okay,we can work on that!
He was thrilled to try all the different prints and colors.
Jacobi never had a leak;his little cloth diapers on the smallest size setting, were so cute! He seemed to enjoy the gentleness of the material and his little 'bum' poofed out,but not so much he couldn't wear clothes over his diaper.
Payton was an easy guy too.He appeared to find his new 'gear' very cool and strutted around excitedly.

We used biodegradable liners and most of them were just wet,so I washed them immediately and laid them out to dry so we could reuse them.

Take a look back to the previous line.............Okay,did you read it really well?
What is the key word here??
Yep, most of them were wet.
Jeremiah was the one to test out not only the liners(would they catch?),but the diaper itself (would it contain?),as well as how we would handle it!
Well, the liner was almost useless;it just kind of crumpled up and didn't catch anything.
The diaper did contain very well-which I'm relieved about since poop on a diaper is bad enough, but poop on clothing,carpet,furniture...yeah,been there.

Remember my previous post?
I mentioned a diaper sprayer.I also mentioned my husband didn't feel that one would be necessary.
Well,he changed his mind-I knew he would!
The thing that makes this even better is that he wasn't even the one changing the diaper!

He has instructed me to purchase a sprayer *snickering*.

I am doing my first load of stinkies;I don't have a choice since I only have about 17 left and I don't want to run out.
Hubby would like me to buy some cloth diapers with fun guy designs;if he had it his way they'd all have skulls and guitars or some other masculine detailing.

We used a variety of brands today,Fuzzibunz,BumGenius,Kawaii,Gogreen.
My thoughts so far are that Payton can use anything,Jeremiah works best with FB large or GG and Jacobi fits best in BG.

I need more diapers for my stash,so watch out Kellys Closet !!
