Now,about this cloth diaper business.....

Pockets,prefolds,liners and flats.....huh?
Bunz and Flips and Fuzzi what?

And so the journey began.
I made the decision to switch to cloth diapers.....with 3 boys.
I tried cloth diapering 7 years ago with my oldest son,Caleb and it just didn't work out-partly because it was a half hearted try,but it didn't help that I had no washer and no money to do laundry anywhere but in my bathtub.
So all those prefolds and flats became stained up burp cloths instead.

So here we are 2011 and I have 3 in diapers fulltime.
We have been purchasing Luvs diapers and sure, they smell good-but wow! It's really adding up!!
With the dreams of owning our own home in our very near future, spending the amount we are on disposables seems moronic.
Each of our 3 youngest wear different sizes, therefore go through them at different rates...Oh and of course the bonus (ha!) of buying larger sizes is that you get LESS in the box.
Our 3 yr old is now in size 6 and a box contains 66 diapers and costs $16.99.
He is a soaker too,so you can count on upwards of 8+ changes in a day and no sure sign of potty learning in sight.
And with a baby who is exclusively breastfed,he soils lot's of diapers in a day too.
Okay,so long story redirected into a shorter version,we are spending over $1600 per year on diapers give or take.

So,my cousin said something awhile back that stuck in my head "Cloth costs me nothing-other than start up costs."
Hmmm.
I finally decided to look into the 'cloth' world and see for myself.
The first site I stumbled on was Kellyscloset and they had a great deal going.
The only thing was I didn't know what the terms were, how to care for them and above all else HOW do you get the poo off of them??
Kellyscloset had a great information page and also a Facebook page.
I also got in contact with my cousin to have her fill me in on some unfamiliar terms.
I decided on my cloth diapers and clicked the button.
The amount was intimidating, but I was promised it would pay off.
We are starting out cloth diaper 3 boys with 33 cloth diapers.
I have 6 more diapers coming.......EEK!
*this is not all of them!!
